Living in Deltebre and Riumar: where the river meets the sea
Deltebre is the heart of the Ebro Delta Natural Park. Ten kilometres away, Riumar sits exactly where the river flows into the Mediterranean. Rice fields, lagoons, wild beaches and more than 300 species of birds make up your back garden.
Why people retire here
If your idea of retirement involves cycling, birdwatching, long walks on empty beaches and a slow pace of life, it’s hard to beat Deltebre. The town has all the everyday services. Riumar, its coastal settlement, offers beach life surrounded by the Natural Park.
Riumar has improved a great deal in recent years, with a new promenade, better beach facilities and new services. For many buyers it remains one of the most unusual second-home opportunities on the Catalan coast.

What we can show you here
We don't publish every property we handle. Because we work with realistic prices and a small number of homes, they sell fast — and part of our portfolio is private and never goes online. Tell us what you're looking for and we'll let you know as soon as something fits.
We always tell you which side we're on
Buying abroad is easier when you know exactly who your agent is working for. With us there are two clear ways to work — and you always know which one applies.
A home from our portfolio
We act for the seller and the seller pays our fee. You pay no agency fee.
That doesn’t mean you’re on your own. As registered estate agents (AICAT 13635) we give you complete legal security: we check the land registry record, the planning status and any outstanding debts, we draft the contracts and we go with you to the notary.
Part of our portfolio is private and is only shown in person.
We search for you
You hire us as your buyer’s agent, a personal shopper for property. We look across the whole market, including other agencies’ listings and homes that are never advertised. We visit and filter on your behalf, check every document and negotiate the price for you.
Here you pay our fee, and we work only for you.
Enjoy it when you're here. Let it when you're not.
Many of our clients spend part of the year here and the rest back home. While you’re away, your home can earn its keep. We manage holiday apartments in La Ràpita and the Ebro Delta every day: listing, pricing, check-ins, cleaning, maintenance and the official paperwork.
Frequently asked questions
Is it humid or full of mosquitoes?
Summers in the Delta are humid and there are mosquitoes in some months. Control campaigns run every year. We'd rather you know before you come.
Is Riumar lively in winter?
It's quiet. If you want activity all year, live in Deltebre town and have Riumar ten minutes away.
Can I let a property in Riumar?
Riumar has a strong holiday letting tradition, but licences are capped. We check that a licence is possible for the specific property before you buy.
